Now suppose the patient has active cancer, reduced mobility, and an acute infection.
Active cancer = 3 points.
Reduced mobility = 3 points.
Acute infection = 1 point.
Now add the points:
Padua Score = 1 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 1
Padua Score = 9
Since 9 is 4 or more, the patient has a high Padua VTE risk score.
