The main formula is:

Here, M is molarity in mol/L, MW is molecular weight in g/mol, and ρ is solution density in g/mL.
The calculation first finds the mass of solute in one liter of solution:
Solute Mass = M × MW
Next, it finds the mass of one liter of solution:
Solution Mass = Density × 1000
Then:
Weight % = (Solute Mass ÷ Solution Mass) × 100

First, calculate the solute mass:

Now calculate the solution mass:
Solution Mass = 1.08 × 1000

Now calculate weight percent:
Weight % = (116.88 ÷ 1080) × 100
