First, convert area to volume:
Volume = (Area in square feet) × (Thickness in inches) / 12
Convert to cubic meters:
Cubic meters = Volume (in ft³) ÷ 35.3147
Convert wet volume to dry volume by multiplying by 1.33 (because materials expand when dry).
Now apply the ratio:
Total parts = 1 + 4 = 5
Cement volume = (1 / 5) × Dry volume
Sand volume = (4 / 5) × Dry volume
Cement bags = Cement volume ÷ 0.035 (since 1 bag = 0.035 m³)
